- Goa

 Goa
is a tiny green land in the west coast of
India. With its natural scenic beauty,
attractive beaches, temples, unique
architecture, feasts and festivals, Goa has
an ideal tourist profile. The warmth of home
and the genuine Goan hospitality
envelops the musings that one cherishes for
a lifetime. One can listen to the harping
sea winds rustling through the coconut palms
and rejuvenate their bout by offering
prayers at the divine Goan churches cocooned
in the lap of nature.
The Goan gourmet is very special. If
one is a non-vegetarian, the taste of Goan
cuisine is inevitable. Pork is a favorite
item for the Goans. There is 'churisso',
the Goan version of pork sausage
and sarpotel, made from the meat of
suckling pig are also much popular.
Goans relish a wide variety of chicken
dishes too.

Goa
is invariably popular for the
beach resorts and there are over
forty beaches in Goa. In the North
Goa beaches like Keri beach,
Arambol (known as Harmal),
Mandrem, and Mori are very
beautiful. Caranzalem, Marvel,
Dona Paula, Bambolim and Siridao
are other famous beaches. All
these are very near to Mormugao
harbor. The Mormugao subdivision
has a string of excellent
beaches, like Bogmalo,
Issorcism, Coloa, Pale, Velsao,
and Cansaulim. There are many
wide and clean beaches in the
Salcete sub division of Goa.

Though Goa is a state that is overshadowed
by the pedigree of the Portuguese
influence and is popular with the vast
stretches of beautiful beaches one
might raise the brows to find so many
temples and religious places in the
state.
