This Sunday Market is something similar to a fair, where almost all sorts of items are on display for sale. Traders and businessmen even from far-off places use to come here to sell their products. For the locals, the Sunday Market is something very special and one can see thousands of people visit here, if not for buying, at least for a break from their regular life. For a foreigner, a visit after 4.00 PM on Sunday to Mahatma Gandhi street, would be an ideal chance to meet people of all sorts and of course, for purchase of items at cheaper rates!, provided you negotiate better. Most of the regular shops will be closed on Sunday all along Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru street. 

For shopping on other days, one has to visit Jawaharlal Nehru street & Mahatma Gandhi Street, where most of the shops are located.
