Kerala - Travel Info

HillstationsKerala is an evergreen state. Hence there is no time that is bad for a visit but there are times when one can enjoy the maximum. August is an occasion when the festival of Onam is celebrated when the true picture of Kerala is depicted. The whole length and breadth of the state swing in festive fervor unraveling the color of its intrinsic culture and tradition. Various boat races and water sports are conducted in this month.

Or else, it's better to get in an Ayurvedic experience at various places in the monsoon season of June-July. Kerala being the cleanest of states, guarantees so many hygienic resorts. The whole state is hilly and hence there is no chance of stagnant water to make dirty conditions.

December, January and February are the months of religious festivals. During this cool and pleasant season people and the nature are at the zenith of sanctity and penance for making pilgrim trips to the sacred shrines like Sabarimala and Pazhani. The most revered Attukal Pongala is usually solemnized in the month of February. A visit to Kerala in any of these seasons would make an obvious explanation as to why Kerala is God's Own Country.
