Jog
falls
Jog falls of Hassan is the highest
in India. The River Sharavati falls at a
depth of 292 meters here, in four separate
cascades referred to as Raja, Rani, Roarer
and Rocket.The falls at their impressive
best during the months June to November.
This is an ideal spot for adventure tourism
and water sports. At a distance of 60
kilometers from Honnavar, a hamlet of Kargal
village is this famous magnificent spot of
Jog waterfalls. It is 105 kilometers away
from Shimoga and the best time to visit the
place is soon after the monsoons during July
August.
Shivasamuderam

Shivasamuderam is 85 kilometers east of
Mysore, where the river Cauvery
cascades down in two picturesque waterfalls.
Falling down from a height of 75 meters into
a deep rocky gorge, these falls are best
during the monsoons. 1.5 kilometers away is
Asia's first hydro-electric project set up
in 1905.
Abbey Falls
Abbey Falls (8 kilometers away).
These falls cascade down in steps to flow as
a small river. A great place for picnics.
Iruppu Falls
Iruppu Falls is a beautiful picnic spot
on the way to Kuttu from Goniloppal.
Hebbe Falls
8 kilometers from Kemmanagndi is the Hebbe
Falls where the water gushes down from a
height of 168 meters in two stages. The
Kalhatti Falls are 10 kilometers from
Kemmanagundi. The water here cascades down a
height of 122 meters. There is also a local
temple here, constructed in a gap
between rocks.
Shivaganga Falls
140 kilometers away, amidst
scenic surroundings, the river Souda falls
into a deep valley from a height of 74
meters to form the Shivaganga Falls.
Magod Falls
Magod Falls, a few kilometers
from Karwar, is a scenic delight. The Bedti
River plunders into a 180 rocky valley
in two leaps.
Lalguli Falls
Lalguli Falls is a picturesque
waterfalls formed by the river Kali. The
Mailmane Falls nearby also deserves a
visit.
