Jharkhand is the 28th state of India. Jharkhand accounts for the 45% of former Bihar’s geographical area. About 28 per cent of total populations of this area are tribals. The per capita revenue of the Jharkhand State is around Rs. 3000. The major contributor of the Jharkhand economy is the vast treasure of minerals. It contributes Rs. 1500 crore to the Jharkhand economy. Jharkhand has rich reserves of iron ore and coal and several industries. Transfer of major industries such as Tata’s will contribute annual revenue of Rs. 3,775 crore to Jharkhand state.
