Air
Jet, Damania, Indian Airlines, East West Airlines, NEPC and Sahara operate in the state. Guwahati, the principal airport in the north Eastern region is connected directly with Calcutta, New Delhi, Bagdogra and patna by the Indian Airliness. Other Airports, to which Indian airlines operate flights, are Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Texpur, North Lakhimpur & Silchar.

Rail
Assam is well connected by train with the rest of the country. Three are train services from Calcutta, Delhi, Bombay, Madras, Bangalore, Cochin & Trivandrum. B.G. line connection is upto Lumding, Dimapur and M.G. line with Tinsukia, Dibrugarhg, dimphu,guwahati, Haflong and Silchar.

Bus Service
A network of National Highways and other roads connect all important places of Assam. All the towns of Assam are well connected by the Assam State Transport Corporation and other tourist bus service. These buses also ply to the capitals of the neighboring states. Besides, the Dept. Of Tourism has a fleet of luxury buses and jeeps for hire.
