India - Arunachal Pradesh

Right at the top of north-eastern India, crowning its six clustered sisters like a protective helmet, is Arunachal Pradesh. This is the first Indian soil to greet the morning sun. Dawn first illuminates Arunachal's border with China: a long border, which stretches all the way from its east, over to its northern boundaries and down to its north- western edge where it merges with Tibet. To its west is Bhutan and on its southern end it touches Assam, Nagaland and Burma before sweeping up to China.

Arunachal Pradesh is the land of      'Dawn-lit-Mountains' with thick evergreen forests and feline fauna. A variety of multi-colored birds and fishes also adorn the beauty of the state. Freshness of air and bracing climate are its other assets. The state is proud of having more than five hundred rare species of orchids and it has endless variations of scenic beauty. Its rivers are ideal for angling, boating and rafting and its terrain is suitable for trekking, hiking and holidaying in a serene atmosphere. The state is also having some of the finest tourist attractions like orchid museum, Ganga Seki Lake and Polo Park.
