Golf
Golf is one of the most popular participation sports in Australia with 1.3 million people, almost ten per cent of the adult population, playing regularly.

Australia boasts more than 1,400 golf courses, from the stunningly majestic, challenging and well maintained to the odd 'paddock' course in some remote but sports-minded inland areas. Nearly all are open to visitors and each year more than 500,000 players grab their clubs and head for courses around the country. Australian climate allows golf to be played throughout the year and there are plenty of opportunities to tee-off on a highly rated golf course for those planning a golf trip to Australia.Australian major cities have access to superb golf courses. It is easy and relatively cheap to both play golf in Australia and attend major tournaments as a spectator.

Among the best-known greens are Royal Pines and Sanctuary Cove in Queensland, Riverside Oaks and The Lakes in New South Wales, Huntingdale and Kingston Heath in Victoria and the Grange in South Australia. All offer golfing at its very best at very affordable green fees.

Cricket
Cricket in Australia is a game of power and torrid passions. At present, Australia is the best cricket team in the world. Australia has been playing ‘series’ against India, Pakistan, England, South Africa, the West Indies, New Zealand etc. In the process, it has produced many of the world's greatest cricketers - Sir Donald Bradman, Richie Benaud, the Chappell brothers and Charles Bannerman. Series cricket, one day tests and interstate cricket 'known as the Sheffield Shield' are all popular.

Tennis
Australia has spawn more than its share of tennis champions over the years - from Evonne Goolagong and Margaret Court to Rod Laver, John Newcombe, Pat Cash and Pat Rafter to name just a few. Their legacy has been a widespread love for the sport, with the fiercest competitions fought in the summer heat on courts such as White City in Sydney and Melbourne Park in Melbourne. No competition is more keenly watched than the Australian Open, played at Melbourne Park each January. The event is one of four Grand Slam events in the world, the others being Wimbledon, and the French and U.S. opens. An abundance of tennis courts, both public and private, are to be found across the country for those interested in a quick set.

Diving
Australia's coastal waters are an underwater paradise for scuba divers and snorkellers - sites of clear, warm water, dazzling coral reefs, historic shipwrecks, abundant marine life and island resorts. With more than 36,000km of coastline, it offers a huge number of superb locations for divers and snorkellers - in the tropical waters off Queensland's Great Barrier Reef and Western Australia's Ningaloo Reef to the temperate waters in the southern States.

Camel Trekking
Camel trekking through the countryside is a pleasant experience. It allows visitors to discover the real Australia.

Cycling
Australia has a wide range of cycling tours, both organized and independent, that are perfect for cyclists of all ages and fitness. From day tours to rides lasting several weeks, one will be able to experience Australian life first-hand. Travel along the quiet country roads, past ever-changing scenery from alpine peaks to rolling hills and farmland. Travel along the Great Ocean Road and enjoy spectacular beaches and unique landforms. Australia plays host to many cycling events such as the annual Mount Perry Mountain Cup in Queensland, Australia's richest mountain bike event that attracts competitors from other countries as well.
