International Barossa Music Festival
It is a wonderful music extravaganza celebrated bi-annually in
October in the wineries and historic Lutheran churches in the
famous Barossa Valley wine producing region, featuring superb
international and national performances from dance, jazz,
baroque, opera and classical. Springtime in the Barossa-glorious
music, superb local cuisine and the best wines in Australia!
Bay to Birdwood
The RAA Bay to Birdwood is the biggest motoring event in the
Southern Hemisphere. It is a two-week show ending in the Bay to
Birdwood from Adelaide's seaside to the National Motor Museum in
the Adelaide Hills. Approximately 2000 vintage and Veteran cars
participate in the event, which celebrates the history and
culture of motoring.
Tasting Australia
This is a major food and wine festival held in Adelaide, the key
highlights being a series of Cookery and Wine Master classes, a
regional food and wine expo, the Australian Regional Culinary
Competition, and "Cooks in Concert".
Melbourne Fashion Festival
The festival attracts a wide audience, celebrating fashion and
its links to food, wine and lifestyle. It is held in Melbourne
in February.
Melbourne Food and Wine Festival
This is one of Australia's premier food and wine festivals
celebrated in and around Melbourne through 30 major events.
International seminars, grand dinners, the World's Longest
Lunch, Hawkers Markets, Restaurant Week, Tasting Trams, food and
wine tasting, demonstrations and competitions are the main items
in the festival.
Canberra Festival
This 10-day celebration to mark the founding of Australia's
capital includes hot air ballooning, open air concerts, an
outdoor film festival, a food and wine day, spectacular music
and fire works displays, exhibitions, children's activities,
carnival rides and sporting competitions. |
