Day 01
Arrive - Delhi
Meet, assist on arrival and transfer to hotel Nikko. Overnight at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02
Delhi
Full day city tour of New & Old Delhi Qutab Minar, India Gate and the President's Palace. The city is built in a typically British colonial style with tree-lined avenues, colonial bungalows, the Parliament House, the War Memorial Arch and the Vice Regal Palace, now the official residence of the President of India. Then, go down to Old Delhi to visit the Jami Masjid and the Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Also visit the Red
Fort. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03
Delhi - Jaipur (256 kms)
Morning depart by surface for Agra and check-in at hotel Rajputana Palace
Sheraton. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 04
Jaipur
Morning visit to the Amber fort with elephant ride. This fort-palace was begun by Raja Man Singh and used by the Rajputs as their stronghold until Sawai Jai Singh II moved to the newly created Jaipur. You will visit the palace and its many intricate chambers and hallways, which has breathtaking views of the Jal Mahal (Water Palace) below.Afternoon take a half-day tour of the city of Jaipur visiting the Maharaja's City Palace, the Jantar Mantar Observatory and the palace of the Winds. Also, drive past the rose-pink residential and business areas of Jaipur.
Day 05
Jaipur - Agra (223 kms)
Morning depart by surface for Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri The deserted capital of Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned 15 years later due to a severe scarcity of water. You will visit the graceful buildings within such as the Jami Masjid, the tomb of Salim Chisti, the Panch Mahal and other palaces. On arrival check-in at hotel Jaypee Palace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06
Agra - Khajuraho
Morning take a tour of the city visiting the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays) was built in 1630 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his deceased wife Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. The monument has been described as the most extravagant ever built for love, for the emperor was heart-broken when Mumtaz, to whom he had been married for 17 years, died in 1629 in childbirth soon after delivering her 14th child. Also visit Agra Fort - the fort is really a city within a city which embraces the Moti Masjid, the Diwan-i-Am or the Hall of Public Audiences, the Diwan-i-Khas or the Hall of Private Audiences, the Octagonal Tower, Jehangir's Palace and many more monuments. In time transfer to the airport to board flight IC 7407 (1435 / 1515) for Khajuraho (operates only on Mon / Wed / Fri / Sun On arrival transfer to hotel Jass Oberoi. Overnight at the hotel
Day 07
Khajuraho - Varanasi
Morning half-day visit to the western group of temples of which the most famous is the Kandariya Mahadev temple, 32 meters high with a fantastic range of sculptures including sensuous themes. The other temples include the Chaunsat Yogini, which is a granite temple, the Devi Jagdambe, a temple dedicated to the Mother Goddess, and the Chandragupta temple, dedicated to Surya or the Sun God. Also, visit other important temples like Vishwanath, Varaha, etc.In time transfer to the airport to board 9W 724 (1330/1410) for Varanasi. On arrival transfer to hotel Taj Ganges. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08
Varanasi - Delhi
Start your visit of Varanasi with a boat ride on the river Ganges from where you will see pilgrims bathing and performing rituals on the Ghats or steps. Then, visit the Bharat Mata temple with a big relief map of India in marble, the Durga temple, the Tulsi Manas temple, the Benares Hindu University which has an art gallery and the mosque of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.In time transfer to the airport to board flight IC 7408 (1700 / 2000) for
Delhi. On arrival transfer to hotel Nikko. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09
Leave Delhi
Day free for independent activities. In time transfer to the international airport to connect flight for onward destination.
