Day 01
Fly to Calcutta
Day 02
Calcutta - Dimapur - Kohima
Arrive at Calcutta, fly to Dimapur, from here a short drive to Kohima. Three nights in the hotel.
Day 03
In Kohima
Morning visit to village Khonoma and return to hotel for lunch. Afternoon visit to Bara Basto village and War Cemetery.
Day 04
In Kohima
A soft trek in the country side and visit Dzulou valley, Zoological park and Craft Centre.
Day 05
Kohima - Jorhat
Early morning drive through picturesque village to Jorhat in Assam. Over night guest house.
Day 06
Jorhat - Majuli - Dekhari Tea Estate
Morning ferry to Majuli a large river Island, visit Satras monastery. Return to road head and drive to tea estate for two nights stay. Guest / Camp.
Day 07
In Dekhari Tea Estate
Full day to explore tea gardens and nearby village.
Day 08
Dekhari Tea Estate - North Lakhimpur
In the morning, cross the Brahmaputra River by ferry from Dibrugarh to Oriamghat and drive to North Lakhimpur. Overnight stay in the guest house/Camp.
Day 09
North Lakhimpur - Zero
Morning drive North to Lakhimpur to explore Apatani dwelling in Hong and other villages. Two nights at guest house/Camp.
Day 10
In Zero
Morning drive or a soft trek to discover the tradition of Nishing tribal villages.
Day 11
Zero - Itanagar
In the morning a beautiful drive through mountain roads and interesting villages to Itanagar the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. Over night stay at a comfortable hotel.
Day 12
Itanagar - Tezpur
Morning drive for Tezpur, in the afternoon, explore Tezpur and the tea garden club. Overnight stay at guest house/Camp.
Day 13
Tezpur - Kaziranga
Morning drive to Kaziranga Wildlife Park. Optional : morning visit by boat to Borasapori for bird watching, in the late afternoon drive to Kaziranga. Two nights in the hotel.
Day 14
In Kaziranga
Full day game drive through the Kaziranga Wildlife Park.
Day 15
Kaziranga - Guwahati
Morning drive to Guwahati the capital of Assam. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 16
Guwahati - Calcutta
Fly to Calcutta. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 17
Calcutta - Check out
Transfer to airport for homeward/onward flight. |
