Highlights
Kadavu is set in a sprawling ten acre coconut grove among swaying, graceful palms. It's architecture is authentic Malabar, constructed as it is, with laterite and palm wood. Its gabled red-tiled roofs, lotus ponds, bamboo superstructures and landscaped gardens, merge so well with the glorious scenery around, that it could well be mistaken for any of the stately homes of the region. Of course, the interiors blend tradition with the luxuries and amneties of modern living.

Olappura- the teashop in Kadavu is a multi-speciality restaurant strategically located near the swimming pool. The traditional thatch is made of the fronds of palm leaves. Restaurant serve Continental dishes here besides a choice of international cuisine. Uru, the boat shaped restaurant is located right on the edge of the riverbank. Authentic Malabar cuisine, several kinds of kebabs and some old favourites from Northern India are served here.

The big attraction of Kadavu is the riverside. Sailing is probably be one of the most peaceful experiences you could have there. Fishing is, simply the most de-stressing activity you would have done in a very long time. There is also a dedicated centre for Ayurveda, in consultation wth the Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala of Thaikkat Mooss. The outdoor amphitheatre stages folk arts, dances, demonstrations of the ancient martial art form Kalaripayettu- some fascinating vignettes of Malabar culture.
